UTRGV Upward Bound Edinburg

UTRGV Upward Bound Edinburg Upward Bound provides fundamental support to participants in their preparation for college entrance.

The program provides opportunities for participants to succeed in their precollege performance and ultimately in their higher education pursuits. Upward Bound serves: high school students from low-income families; and high school students from families in which neither parent holds a bachelor's degree. The goal of Upward Bound is to increase the rate at which participants complete secondary education and enroll in and graduate from institutions of postsecondary education.

Our Upward Bound Edinburg students partnered with Keep McAllen Beautiful for a day of service at the McAllen Nature Center. Our Upward Bound Edinburg rising seniors spent the week exploring college campuses and experiencing all that Texas has to offer!The trip began with visits to The University of Texas at San Antonio, SeaWorld San Antonio and the San Antonio River Walk 🛶. It was followed by tours of The University of Texas at Austin and Zilker Metropolitan Park 🛹. The week concluded with a visit to Texas State University, giving students the opportunity to explore future college options while creating lasting memories together 📚!

Sweaters & Smiles Toy Drive Bash 🎄✨
During our Saturday Enrichment event on 12/06/2025, UB Edinburg and UBMS Edinburg students got creative decorating ugly sweaters while giving back through our toy donation drive! All donated toys went to Rainbow Room and Mujeres Unidas to help spread holiday joy in our community.
