🌟 Annual STEAM Day at Ochoa Elementary (Donna, ISD) and Paredes Elementary (Brownsville, ISD) 🌟
Hands-on learning came to life as over 300 young Dual Language Learners explored Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math through engaging, play-based activities led by UTRGV - The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Early Childhood Teacher Candidates in the Early Care and Early Childhood Studies program.

Facilitated by Dr. Julia Cuevas, Dr. Martha Thompson, and Dr. Diana Ruiz, this event empowered children to think critically, embrace creativity, and celebrate bilingualism, building a firm foundation for future innovators in our community.

In partnership with Dr. Nancy Razo, Spring 2026 Clinical Teachers are trained and certified in Youth Mental Health. Congratulations to all students, shown in the group photos, trained on Friday, January 23, 2026 with Aliver Lozano and Melissa Ipina.

Office of Field Experiences Spring 2026 Clinical Teaching Orientations took place in Brownsville Wednesday, January 7, 2026, and in Edinburg Thursday, January 8, 2026. Congratulations to our future teachers, our office looks forward to another successful semester!

🎓Congratulations to the UTRGV Master of Education in Counseling Graduates!🎓
The Department of Counseling proudly honored our graduates on Wednesday, December 13, during a special hooding ceremony. Family and friends gathered to celebrate this incredible achievement and the dedication that led to this milestone.
