Coffee as cologne, accidental discovery?
One of the key qualities necessary in this business is anticipation...analyzing likely undesired events or conditions, and while navigating the way forward avoiding the hazards while SIMULTANEOUSLY having habits and behaviors that allow your responses to the undesired happening anyway be quick, limited negative consequences. Well, I failed miserably this morning. On my way out of my car, I moved my still-full cup of coffee from the security of the cup holder to the center console, then noticing how my utility belt (scrub pockets) was lonely. While restocking it with my variety of essential professional tools (security blankets), I knocked my coffee off the artfully smooth, piano-black console down my right leg to the floor where the ENTIRE thing emptied into my right shoe and all over the floor mat. No, it wasn’t the awesomely protective weather tech kind, it was the stock cloth one. How I didn’t see this coming is a mystery. Lesson learned, while coffee is still the most amazing smell on earth, it’s value as an in car scent and cologne (a la right shoe only) is yet to be confirmed. Such a blessing to be imperfect as it aids greatly in the learning process while boosting humility. Most disturbing to me wasn’t the spill, or the cleanup. It was the now empty cup of morning morale boost...😜
