Scales matter! Behind every confident performance, every fast passage, every beautiful tone, and every successful audition is a foundation built through daily scale practice.

Practicing scales develops technique, tone quality, finger fluency, accuracy, endurance, and musical confidence. More importantly, it teaches patience, work ethic, and the mindset needed to grow as a musician and leader.

This year, our students brought home:
🥇 15 Gold Medals
🥈 26 Silver Medals
🏅 49 First Division Ensemble Medals

For a grand total of an amazing 90 medals earned at the state level!

These accomplishments are a reflection of countless hours of preparation, perseverance, and passion for music. Thank you to our students, parents, and directors for your continued support and commitment to excellence.

A huge congratulations to the Robert Vela High School Band Indoor Programs on being officially recognized by the City of Edinburg with a proclamation! 🎶🏆

This honor celebrates the incredible success of our Varsity Winter Guard, JV Winter Guard, ReVELation Percussion, and RVHS Winds for their outstanding 2025–2026 season. From championships to record-breaking performances, our students continue to show what hard work, talent, and Vela pride can do! 🖤💙
