It's almost time for our Homecoming shows!!

Which way are you heading in the Universe as you sail on the journey of a lifetime on a starship named Earth? Roger Sargent will point to the many directions you are coming and going in the vast cosmos.

This is a dynamic high energy presentation by Professor Scott McKenzie, who is one of the world's leading experts on what happens to objects when they hit Earth and what happens to Earth when it gets hit. A very brief planetarium tour of the night sky will follow and after that you will have the option of touring the third floor observatory and looking through telescopes if it's not cloudy.

Edinboro graduate Shayne Clark sets the stage by paralleling astronomy and the constellations with the Scottish Enlightenment and how it has shaped our worldview today. Next, Roger Sargent will take you on a planetarium tour of the night sky over Edinburgh and Edinboro.
An optional tour of the third floor observatory will follow and if it's not cloudy we will observe with telescopes.

Participants of PennWest's "Take Your Child to Work Day" enjoyed an out-of-this-world planetarium presentation led by the one and only Dr. David Hurd. 🪐 This special show marked Dr. Hurd's final planetarium presentation for children before his well-deserved retirement.

Please join us in extending our warmest congratulations to Dr. Hurd. His dedication and passion for sharing the wonders of the universe have inspired countless students and community members throughout his esteemed 33-year career at the Edinboro campus. 🌕
