Meet the artists behind some of the public art you see around Edina!

Join us for Voices Through Art on Tuesday, Sept. 1, for a conversation with local sculptors about what inspires their work, how their ideas take shape, and the stories behind the art they create.

Featured panelists include sculptors Craig Snyder, Isaac Kidder, Jon Kamrath, and Judd Nelson, along with Alyssa Fram, Vice Chair of the Edina Arts and Culture Commission. Rebecca Sorensen, Executive Director of the 50th & France Business Association, will moderate the conversation.

Calling local artists! 🎨

We’re looking for artists from Edina and surrounding communities to be part of the Winter Fine Art Market at the Edina Art Center.

Artists working in ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture and more are encouraged to apply. All products must be locally made by the seller. AI-generated artwork, commercially manufactured products and resale items will not be accepted.

Add some color to your month with Vibrant Hummingbird – Acrylics on Canvas on Monday, Aug. 24, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Float into color with this upbeat, step-by-step workshop inspired by our bright hummingbird painting. In two relaxed hours, you’ll build a loose, abstract background, block in the bird’s shapes, blend luminous magentas and teals, and finish with crisp linework and highlights for that lively, in-flight look. No experience needed – traceable outlines and lots of demos make this one a stress-free win. You’ll leave with a finished canvas ready to hang.

Tomorrow is Art Together!

Join us Wednesday, August 12, from 5–7 p.m. at Fire Station 2 for a FREE community event where kids and Edina’s first responders come together through creativity.

Families are invited to create a hands-on art project alongside members of the Edina Police and Fire Departments. It's a fun opportunity to make something memorable, ask questions, and build positive connections with the people who help keep our community safe.

What a super week at Superhero Camp: League of Creators! 🦸🎨

Campers spent the week creating their own superheroes and villains, dreaming up epic origin stories, and bringing action-packed adventures to life through drawing, painting, and mixed media projects. It was a week filled with imagination, creativity, and fun.

What a creative week we had at Puppet Lab! 🎭✨

Young artists spent the week exploring the world of puppetry with instructors from In the Heart of the Beast Puppet Theater. Campers created rod puppets, masks, and shadow puppets, then brought their creations to life through storytelling and short performances with new friends.
