Community Connections are parent-hosted events that bring Normandale families together, build friendships, and support our school community. ❤️💙

And the best part? You get to choose the event!

Past Community Connections have included pickleball and curling tournaments, moms’ and dads’ nights out, murder mystery parties, casino nights, throwback game nights, sledding, movie nights and more.

Have an idea of your own? Maybe sledding + hot cocoa 🛷, pizza + game night for the kids 🍕, a moms’ get-together 🥂, or something completely different!

⚾️🎶 What a special moment for Chorale Boréale!

On Saturday, our Normandale choir took the field at the Twins game to sing during the 7th inning stretch! We are so proud of these students for representing Normandale and sharing their voices with the crowd at Target Field. ❤️💙

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this memorable experience possible - and to all the Normandale families who were there cheering them on!

🏃‍♀️🏃 Calling all Normandale 4th & 5th graders!

The Edina Cross Country teams are hosting their annual Elementary Cross Country 1 Mile Race on Thursday, October 1 at Pamela Park!

The race is FREE, but registration is required. And according to Mme Hoecherl, Normandale is the reigning champion - so let’s get out there and represent Normandale! 💪💚💛

🎨 Art Adventure volunteers needed! Signup link in profile!

Art Adventure is one of those special Normandale programs that students absolutely love! Through artwork from the Minneapolis Institute of Art’s collection, students explore different cultures and time periods while building creativity, critical thinking, and global awareness.

As an Art Adventure volunteer, you’ll visit your child’s classroom 5–6 times throughout the school year for about 45 minutes–1 hour. Each visit includes discussing a selected piece of art with students and leading a corresponding craft activity. All supplies and lesson materials are provided!

Volunteers will also attend a training to learn about the selected artwork and get tips for discussing it with elementary-aged students. No art expertise needed! ❤️💙

🇫🇷📚 French Story Time begins this week!

Join us on Tuesday, June 16 at 2:00 PM at the Edina Grandview Library as we kick off another summer of French Story Time.

We’re excited to welcome Principal Holden as our first guest reader! This event is a fun way for students and families to stay connected to French throughout the summer while enjoying stories together.

Our later sessions will be led by middle and high school Normandale alumni who are excited to share their love of French with younger students.
