As a mom and founder of Change the World Challenge, I’ve always believed in the power of storytelling to uplift and inspire. Since 2021, we’ve been on a mission to help young people discover their greatness through stories of unsung African American heroes. This journey has been life-changing, and the testimonials from students and educators have fueled my passion to do more.

Now, I’m so proud to announce the ‘Character Growth Playbook’, a tool for teaching kids about empathy, leadership, perseverance and more. It’s packed with inspiring videos, stories, and activities that work in the classroom or right at home with parents and kids.

This book is personal for me. After leaving a career in TV journalism, I made it my mission to create positive media that uplifts the next generation.

On this we are grateful for all those who have supported our non-profit Change the World Challenge. Grade schoolers learn about the positive contributions of African Americans. It’s not in our history books and it’s allowing our children to see great leaders that look like them, so they can believe they can be great too. It’s that simple. It’s having a positive impact. I’m so proud.

When like-minded people who want to Change the World come together-we can do amazing things! ❤️

Today, elementary scholars in Hopkins will start a new part of Change the World Challenge curriculum. Led by this great teacher, the students will make their own video about an unsung hero in African American history!

We just dropped off go-pro cameras and a cool backdrop paid for by donors. We’re in need of a lot more technology so if you feel moved to donate, please do!

What a great weekend at the ‘The Purple Day’ It was inspiring to be around so many people who haven’t taken their foot off the gas and continue to drive positive change! Sen. Bobby Joe Champion stopped by the Change the World Challenge booth and heard about our curriculum educating youth about the greatness of African Americans in this country! We’re grateful he took time to listen like so many others. We appreciate the community support as we continue to grow.
