🟣EDGEWOOD FFA AG MECHANICS CREW 🟣

A few of our Edgewood FFA members traveled to TSTC in Marshall today to compete in the Texas High School Welding Series!

Our students competed in both the individual welding competition and the Ag Mechanics Build-Off Challenge, where they were given just FOUR HOURS to construct a deer feeder!

This was the first time in many years that our Ag Mechanics crew has competed in this type of competition, and these students did a phenomenal job representing Edgewood FFA!

To top off an already exciting day, our students had the unique opportunity to experience underwater welding after completing the build-off!

I'm extremely proud of these students for putting their skills to the test and taking on a new challenge. Competitions like this provide opportunities to develop skills, build confidence, work as a team, and gain real-world experiences that can't always be taught in a classroom.

Very proud of G. Haynes, B. Lumpkin, I. Martinez, and I. Bruton
