Edgewood Elementary School Edgewood Elementary is a community school located in Edgewood, MD, in southern Harford County. Our school serves over 430 students, grades Pre-K through 5.

Edgewood Elementary School teaches students following a rigorous curriculum that addresses reading and language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, technology, library, health, physical education, art, and instrumental and vocal music. We are proud to offer cutting edge technology. We focus on the integration of technology resources in daily instruction and every classroom has access to a Smart Board, computers, two computer labs, two mobile labs, and a live TV studio. Edgewood Elementary School is truly part of the community serving the needs of our boys and girls. The culture of the school exudes a “whatever it takes” attitude, a family atmosphere and positive environment. We are proud to be Edgewood Eagles!

Let's celebrate some of this year's Gold Card Winners!

As part of our schoolwide PBIS program, students earn Dojo points when they display our school norms. (Don't know what our school norms are? Ask your child! They can recite our school pledge for you.)

Once they earn 20, they get to sign up for the Block Party of their choice. (Another great opportunity to talk to your child about school. Ask them about Block Parties!)

After the first 20, if they earn an ADDITIONAL 20 points within the month, they get to put a Gold Card in the box in the office. (And ring the bell!) You never know when we will draw from the boxes, and here's the kicker- you must be present to win!

It pays to be at school everyday! Congrats to these awesome Eagles!

Thanksgiving is a beautiful week here at Edgewood Elementary! We were able to support 45 families with everything they need for an amazing Thanksgiving meal. (Right down to the marshmallows, the can openers, the fresh bread… they think of every detail!) Shout out to our awesome partners at Ravens Roost 50, Harford Tech High, and Fallston Middle who put together these meals for our families. You all are the Thanksgiving MVPs!

Flashback to last Friday's celebrations. Dressed in Red, White, and Blue, we kicked the day off with our Attendance Walk of Fame, featuring students with fantastic attendance AND very special guests. We welcomed Veterans and Service Members to be a part of the fun! We followed up with a beautiful Veteran's Day Assembly, planned and executed by our very own Hero, Veteran and Media Specialist Mrs. Lisa Brown, .

The EDES Attendance Walk of Fame celebrates students who have met their monthly goal of missing just 0 or 1 day per month. On Friday, November 8th, in collaboration with our Veteran's Day celebration, we would like to invite United States Service Members and Veterans to join us in the Walk of Fame.

The time committment is from 8:50-9:10 am, and all you need to do is show up, cheer and high five our awesome students, and head back out. (Though you are certainly invited to join us for our Veteran's Day Assembly at 9:30am. It is truly a beautiful event.)

Thank you to everyone who came out for Trunk or Treat last night. We had a blast and hope you did too!

Most importantly, we need to talk about the amazing display of generosity in making this event happen.

To every family who donated a bag of candy- thank you! We filled the donation bin over and over again, at a time when candy is expensive and no one has has the extra money to spare. We stocked every car all night, and we didn't run out for the first time in Trunk or Treat history!

To every family who created amazing trunks and costumes- we could not be more grateful for the way you all showed up to make the event a success, sacrificing your time and money.

To every staff member who attended- thank you for sacrificing your time at home to be with our students and families. It matters, and we appreciate you!

Some spooooky visitors stopped by to remind us that TRUNK OR TREAT is tomorrow night! Please arrive between 5:30-7:00 and don't forget your bag! (Students must be accompanied by an adult.)

Families and community partners who are hosting a trunk, please arrive between 4:30 and 5:00 to set up!

(We will also have clothing and shoes available for free shopping, and the Lost and Found will be oustide. Please visit and take what fits!)

Congratulations to Victoria and her family for winning our first Monthly Attendance Family Prize!

We know that missed days can add up quickly. Did you know that missing just 2 days per month equals 20 days per year, or in other words- AN ENTIRE MONTH OF SCHOOL!

If you would like to have a chance at next months prize, be sure that your child misses just zero or one day of school!

Congratulations to Ms. Toppin's class for winning our Attendance Class of the Month trophy! Her class had over 98% attendance rate for the month of September! Wow!!!

Ms. Toppin will keep the trophy this month, and we will see if she can hold onto the title for October!
