*** This just in.....

Sitting with a 7yr old student in class, and she loves how the pins on the cushion has been arranged, and I said "Oh I will share with the student that did that that you think it looks pretty”..cut to this

Student: “is she a kid?”
Me: “Yes, well she is a teen”
Student: “ How old”
Me: “14”
Student: “ She is almost to 16”
Me: “she is”
Student: “ ya they are a little bit bossy when they get that age, not for sure but I think they are”

I LOVE my conversations during sewing classes!!

***Very behind on all what we have been doing in the sewing room!! BUSY BUSY BUSY! So be watching for all of our Projects!!

*** Friday’s Sewing Room Chatter with Miss Connie~

Highlighting these Twin sisters in their first year of sewing here @ the sewing project!

They love their build a bears so Miss Connie is finding her wings in their classes to create fashions for their bears! ( I do have some very old patterns and limited so we will create great things with a bit of revamping from me at times!)

Pictured is a nightgown and a pj set after that was finished they both wanted to make the nightcap...so we did!! How cute do they look!!

What is next up for these twins, Welp Easter is coming up so they are sewing up a Spring/Easter dress for their friends!!

*** Thursday’s Sewing Room Chatter with ~Miss Connie

Highlighting this young lady, I am sad to say these are her very last projects she has finished here @ the sewing project. As she has moved out of state. This was her first year in our sewing room but WOW did she have fun creating and learning and bittersweet it was and not truly planned but I KNOW she is going to keep sewing in her new place she is at.

You see her Raglan short sleeved knit tshirt and she finished her flannel pj shorts with side seam pockets and a drawstring.

I cherish our time together and her growing skills in sewing with me. You will be missed by me!

*** Wednesday Sewing Room Chatter with ~Miss Connie

Highlighting this young amazing designer!

She is in her 2nd sewing school year here @ the sewing project and can I just say I know she will be designing for many more years to come!!

She loves ALL things dresses and finished her first red ball gown modeled by Katelyn and she learned so much during this project.

She decided to work on sewing sleeves to perfect her skills so we decided to do this AMAZING Fur trimmed jacket and well...it will go with ANYTHING even her red ball gown. She was learned how to cut faux fur the correct way, and she is still working on those sleeve skills but I have faith she will catch fire soon!

What is next for this Fashionista for her 18” models, well she still haven’t made pj set so that is what we are doing! but her pj top will have sleeves!!

*** Tuesday’s Sewing Room Chatter with ~Miss Connie

Highlighting these Sisters I have around the sewing room!

~ the Oldest has been around a while, she is now in her 4th Sewing School year. Started out having fun sewing for her 18” doll then transistioned to the Tween/Teen classes, however this doesn’t stop her wanting to still sew up some fashions for her doll. BUT she knows it needs to challenge her and you will see this one did!! Beautiful RED Ball gown!! She worked hard and learned a ton! She then moved onto something for her! Pair of flannel pj shorts with side seam pockets with a drawstring!! Bermuda length was her style! they look AMAZING

~ Lil Sis, She is a spark that ignights the sewing fire. This is her 1st sewing school year here @ the sewing project. She has been working hard finishing up her fleece cape coat, and a cotton tunic top with knit leggings!!

What is up next and going under the needle for these sisters. Big Sis will be working on a knit v neck tshirt dress for herself and lil sis will be working on a raglan tshirt for her Model Lavender!

*** Monday’s Sewing Room Chatter with Miss Connie~

Highlighting these three sisters!

They finished their pj pants and matching hoodies refresh to match! Then they went onto their Raglan tshirts! How I love the differences between them! What is up next for these three...

All three had extra knit so we are using it UP
1 is making a paperbag waisted knit skirt
2 are making some knit shirts with side seam pockets and a drawstring!!

Happy Valentines Day from our sewing room!

Modeling her very Valentine crocheted dress is out Juliette Joy with short cropped Auburn locks (she has many hair styles she loves to switch it up). I know we are all about sewing. But Fashion as well so I snuck in some fibers.

*** Christmas 2021 Present/Challenge complete!

All last week it was fun seeing who took Miss Connie’s Challenge.
I loved all the amazing stories of their sewing journies at home as they shared their projects!!! My heart just swooned and soared in excitement. I LOVE this and so happy to give another gift to them. Check out all the finished Challenges!!!

I know they grew and I KNOW they are learning when you get told that basically I was told “I knew you would have me to it in class, even when the instructions didn’t say so, so I did”...YUP...exactly!
