Welcome, MESD Parents! Can you believe it is already the third week of school? Time certainly seems to fly by. Just like our kids, we will experience our own share of successes, failures, and frustrations this school year. And just like them, we are not alone in this journey! It’s true, MESD Parents have each other.
Would you like to connect with parents in your neighborhood? Is it hard to juggle work and stay involved at your kid’s schools? Do you need help dropping off and picking up your kids when the bus is running late or not at all?
One of the biggest issues for parents is the lack of student transportation. Everywhere you go in the community, you hear people talking about the lack of bus drivers and the lack of school transportation for our kids. Another important issue families face this year is the lack of affordable internet and district-provided hot spots.
Would you like to be part of a parent-driven solution? If yes, you NEED to join MESD Parents. Together we can support each other by sharing ideas, tackling issues with parent-suggested solutions, collaborating with one another, or even just by reading about other parent’s experiences. So, let’s join MESD Parents to support one another in carrying out our most important daily task – showing up for our kids and each other.
Whether you want to actively or passively participate in the group is up to you. There is no one size fits all. This group is for parents, guardians, and caregivers of students enrolled in the following schools in New Mexico’s Moriarty-Edgewood School District:
