Summer camp participants at the Y have the option to join my camp and transfer back over with the summer camp crew at 12. You’d pay the fee for sports camp plus an additional $30 for wrap around summer camp care.

POSC’s first season of First Touch is going amazingly!! 💖 this club has amazing programs for all ages if anyone is interested in following them for more info!

Sports Camp reminder! Tomorrow is swim day! Please make sure you bring your children in a bathing suit (girls with clothes over, boys with a shirt). We’re going to play a game of kickball then head to the pool. Parents will pick up the kids from the pool tomorrow!

It’s been brought to my attention that some kids may not have gotten a PE positive 💔 I tried to make sure everyone got one, because they seriously all deserve it, but alas my memory doesn’t always serve me well 🤦‍♀️ if anybody was sad about not receiving a card, please message me and send me your address. I will mail the kids one!

This year I took a huge leap and started up something that turned out to be so much bigger than I expected! I was NOT athletic when I was younger and honestly thought the last thing I’d ever be is a PE teacher 😂 but my gift is not knowing everything about sports or being the most athletic, it is having a teacher’s heart. I often reflect on how PE made me feel as a kid and I strive to not replicate public school PE, but rather create a place where kids feel welcome, heard and understood. We do “ins” not “outs”, we work together to create lesson plans based on interest, we can say “no” when we are not comfortable doing something. I am so thankful God led me here and I listened because I have truly never felt so good about any “job” I’ve ever had! My first year of Homeschool PE is over and it was more than I ever expected! THANK YOU to everyone who liked/shared posts, spread the word, tried a class, helped out in class, etc etc etc! I was absolutely spoiled by my sweet PE kids and parents this week with the sweetest notes and gift cards (yeah!!!!) thank you so much for that too, everyone that contributed. 🫶🏼 we will start back up in August! And until then, I am running a sports camp at Southeast Volusia Family YMCA. More info on my page. Love you all 💖
