**2026 RMACES Research Grant Award Presentation**
Evaluating a Psych*delic Wellness Training for Counselors: RCT Testing for Gains in Cultural Competence, Counseling Skills, and Evidence-Based Knowledge
The Psych*delic Wellness Website and Training Platform addresses the need for counselor training in psych*delic integration, as legislation supports natural medicine licensure. This initiative establishes an evidence-based model to equip clinicians with essential skills for client support during integration. Through a randomized controlled trial, the program will enhance counselors’ cultural competence and psych*delic knowledge while embedding social justice principles. Enhancing Learning Through Group Counseling Theory and Co-Teaching Strategies
This program demonstrates a co-teaching model of group counseling that focuses on students’ active participation in feedback. Feedback is used to increase group cohesion and address students’ cultural context as well as its traditional role in skill development. The feedback structure recognizes that feedback can promote trust and inclusion, or distrust and exclusion.
