Today, we recognize and honor the rich cultures, histories, traditions, and contributions of Indigenous peoples. Indigenous Peoples’ Day is an opportunity to learn, listen, and celebrate the communities and traditions that have shaped our country and continue to enrich our communities today.

If you love someone with dyslexia, you know there is so much more to their story than the challenges they may face with reading, writing, or spelling. ❤️

This month, we’re celebrating the people who make our community brighter, stronger, and more wonderfully themselves. Share this post for someone you love!

Today is World Mental Health Day. 💚 At Summit, we know that supporting students means caring for the whole child. Mental health, confidence, connection, and a sense of belonging all play an important role in helping students feel ready to learn and grow.

Today, we’re taking a moment to remind our students, families, and staff that their well-being matters. 💚

⭐ Staff Spotlight: Mr. Kittrell! ⭐ Meet Mr. Kittrell, our Middle School Coordinator and T2 Science Instructor! He’s been part of the Summit community for 11 years and is a Bucknell University graduate.

One of his favorite things about working with Summit students? Seeing their confidence grow and watching their hidden talents shine. 💚 He also loves the impact Summit has had on so many students’ lives and looks back fondly on overnight trips, where students get to feel included, try new things, and be adventurous together.

Outside of Summit, you can find Mr. Kittrell hiking, reading, playing video games, or tackling a DIY project at home. He’s also a Jurassic Park fan, a proud dog dad to an Aussie Doodle named Henry 🐶, and—fun fact—he used to compete in Sports Acrobatics! 🤸

We’re so glad Mr. Kittrell is part of Summit! 💚

T2 took learning outside the classroom with an overnight trip to Harper’s Ferry! 🏕️ From exploring the area to spending time together as a class, students had the chance to learn, connect, and make memories beyond campus. 💚
