What an incredible day celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary while honoring the proud tradition of Catholic education at St. Mary School! As we look ahead to celebrating our own 100th anniversary, we’re grateful to be part of such a wonderful community.

Although this photo doesn’t include everyone, we were blessed to have 25 students, 12 adults, and one future St. Mary student walking with us today!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and represented St. Mary School with such joy and school spirit. A special thank you to the Boeke family for generously donating Popsicles that we handed out along the parade route—they were a huge hit on a warm day!

It was a fantastic day filled with faith, community, and patriotism. Thank you for making it so memorable! 🇺🇸💙

Through collaboration and creativity, they are designing engaging, real-world learning experiences that will inspire students to think critically, solve problems, and use their talents in service to others.

What a fantastic day celebrating Father Dan and the incredible impact he has made on our school over the past 11 years!

Our staff enjoyed a fun-filled golf scramble, great food at a potluck, and friendship as we took time to thank him for his years of faithful leadership, guidance, and support.

Father Dan, your kindness, dedication, and love for our school community have meant so much to all of us. You will be greatly missed, but we are so grateful for the memories and blessings we’ve shared.

At St. Mary School, learning goes far beyond the classroom. Rooted in the strong faith and values of our rural Edgerton community, our students are growing as critical thinkers, collaborators, problem-solvers, and compassionate leaders through engaging STEM experiences and meaningful classroom conversations.

This year, students designed assembly lines inspired by Henry Ford, created original carnival games through historical research and engineering, tested water samples from local rivers, launched rockets, and developed inventions to improve independence for the elderly. Through hands-on, project-based learning, students are applying real-world skills while building confidence, curiosity, creativity, and teamwork.

Our partnership with the Notre Dame STEM Teaching Fellows program has also strengthened productive talk across all grade levels and subjects, empowering students to ask thoughtful questions, share ideas respectfully, and engage deeply in learning.

As we continue expanding STEM school-wide, St. Mary School remains committed to creating innovative, student-centered learning experiences that prepare students to make a positive impact on our school, parish, and community.
