During inservice, Superintendent Cari Guden shared an important reminder:

💛 Welcome to the Edgar School District Team, Shawn Schnelle! 💚

Shawn attended NTC for Police Science and spent more than 22 years serving with the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office. Now, he’s excited to begin a new chapter with Edgar Public Schools and give back to a community he truly appreciates.

Outside of work, Shawn enjoys fishing, hunting, and, most importantly, being a grandpa. He and his wife, Mandy, have been married for 25 years and have four children and one grandchild.

One of the things he’s looking forward to most about his new role is having the opportunity to work in the same building as his wife and youngest daughter. 💚

We’re excited to have Shawn as part of the Edgar School District family and look forward to the dedication and care he will bring to our school.

🎉 A familiar face is officially joining the Edgar School District team! 💚💛

After graduating from UW-Stevens Point last December while completing her internship in the fourth-grade classroom, Hailey Chapel is excited to continue her journey as an educator right here in Edgar!

She is grateful for the experiences that have helped shape her as a teacher and looks forward to continuing to learn and grow alongside the Edgar students, staff, and community.

Outside of the classroom, she enjoys spending time outdoors and with family and friends. Most of all, she’s excited to stay in Edgar and continue growing as both a teacher and a member of the community.

We’re excited to have you with us for the 2026–2027 school year! 💚💛
