REMINDER: The Driver’s Ed form for the September session opens today at 3:30 p.m.

The first 30 students to sign up will be accepted into the class.

To sign up:
- Go to John A. Holmes High School website.
- Locate a red box on the right hand side of the screen.
- Select Driver's Education.
- Fill out the form.

Students must attend EVERY session of the program.

💙💛 Students are taking charge! 💙💛

Ms. Ali's class created their own set of class rules and expectations based on a group collaboration game they did this week.

In the activity, students were given a task to complete as a team. Afterwards, they wrote down two things they liked and didn't like about the experience. Then, Ms. Ali facilitated a discussion about the most common answers/themes and what "good" group work looks like, using them to create a poster of rules and expectations to refer to throughout the semester.

This activity helped students engage with their peers and take initiative in setting themselves up for success in Ms. Ali's class.

ACES, thank you for purchasing parking passes in time for classes starting Monday. 🚘

Please look at the map for updated parking guidelines. 💚 Student parking is highlighted in green. 💚 Your passes permit you to park in the lot to the left of the school building and both lots surrounding the football field.

Again, thank you for purchasing your passes ahead of time. We can't wait to see you next week! 🎉

Thank you so much to our friends at Chowan River Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for donating three boxes of school supplies for our students and teachers! 🖍️

These items including paper, crayons and glue sticks will be handed out for projects, assignments or everyday note taking as needed.

Everything will be put to great use. We are incredibly grateful for this kind gift. Thank you! 💙💛💙💛

Shoutout to our amazing community for braving the rain last night for Open House! 🌧️

We had so much fun meeting new students and parents, and catching up with familiar faces.
