EDENTON — Colonial Waterfront Park hosted hundreds of parents and children for one last summer blow-out on Friday, August 14, celebrating one last summer evening before school begins on Monday.

This morning’s flag raising ceremony was a special moment for John A. Holmes High School and a beautiful reminder of unity, school spirit, and what it means to come together as a school community.💙💛

A heartfelt thank you to our local American Legion for their generous donation and to the Edenton-Education Foundation for helping set the stage for our beautiful flag with commemorative bricks. 🇺🇸

At ECEF we support education in Chowan County through three main categories - field trips, mini-grants, and scholarships. Our current scholarship application is live and can be found at the link below. Last year our organization had the pleasure of awarding almost $27,000 in scholarships to our local seniors.
