This weekend's performances were great!! If you missed them or want to see the first one again, you are in luck. You have one more opportunity on Tuesday November 5th at 7 at MHS Cafeteria. The students will present "Sweets and a Show" with Murder In the Knife Room. Message this page for your advanced ticket for $7 or purchase at the door for $8. You will choose from 3 desserts. Vanilla pound cake, brownies, or pecan pie.

Please join the MHS Theatre Department on February 28, 2019 for a fun evening of bingo! We will have prizes, raffles and games for younger children as well! All proceeds will go to the MHS Theatre Department.

CONGRATULATIONS to our Honors Theatre students and Mrs. Stewart for a successful NCTC Regional Play Festival weekend! We will be advancing to the State Competition for the second year in a row!! All of their hard work and dedication was well rewarded! We couldn't be more proud of you! Our group took home the following awards:

Festival Spirit Award

Excellence in Portraying a Family Dynamic: The cast of "Squish" (Sarah Barton, Jada Prichard and Nicole Hernandez)

Excellence in Set Design and Production (set construction): Fonzi Falcon and Ellyn Blackstock

Outstanding Stage Management: Harmoni Hairston (also awarded a scholarship for College Discovery Day)

Excellence in Acting: Steven Doss for "Hush Little Celia, Don't Say a Word"

Excellence in acting: Riley Gilliam for "Hush Little Celia, Don't Say a Word"

Excellence in Ensemble acting: the cast of "Hush Little Celia, Don't Say a Word"

Distinguished Play, Audience Choice: "Hush Little Celia, Don't Say a Word" (This award advances us to the State level of the competition)

The MHS BACKSTAGE BOOSTERS are currently hosting a silent auction fundraiser. These baskets will be up for auction through Nov. 1 and winners will be announced on Nov 4. Please leave your bids in the comments on the photo of the basket that you would like to bid on. Starting bids and a list of the items, along with the value of the items included in each basket are with each photo. Please help support the MHS Theatre Department and SHARE, SHARE, SHARE!

The MHS Theatre Department will be performing Shrek the Musical this Thursday, Friday and Saturday night at 7pm in the MHS Auditorium. Admission is $5. Bring the family and enjoy an amazing performance and help support our theatre students. Share and help us spread the word!

The MHS Honors Theatre is selling donuts to help fund the trip to the NCTC State Festival. Listed below are the products available and pricing. Donuts will be delivered on Monday, November 20th.
