🏈🐬 We had some very special car line helpers this morning! 💚🤍
Our students were SO excited to see the Morehead Football Players helping welcome them to school this morning! What made it even more special is that these players are former Dolphins who once walked the halls of LSE themselves! 🐬➡️🏈
We appreciate them coming back to LSE and helping us celebrate a great end to our first week of school! We love seeing our former Dolphins doing great things and giving back to their elementary school! 💚🤍

💚🐬 Dolphin Family Reminder! 🐬

Thank you, Dolphin families, for helping us have a great first day of school! We appreciate your patience and support as we work through our beginning-of-the-year routines.

🚗 Beginning tomorrow, all car riders in Grades 1–5 should be dropped off through the regular car rider line. Parents should remain in their vehicles and allow our staff to assist students as they enter the building.

🍎 Kindergarten Staggered Entry: Parents of kindergarten students who are attending their assigned staggered-entry day may walk their child into the cafeteria.
Thank you for helping us keep morning arrival safe, organized, and running smoothly. We are looking forward to another great day at LSE! 💚🤍🐬

🐬 Kindergarten Staggered-Entry Schedule 🐬

We are excited to welcome our newest Dolphins! Please review this week’s (August 24-28) kindergarten schedule carefully:

Monday: Students with last names beginning with A–I
Tuesday: Students with last names beginning with J–R
Wednesday: Students with last names beginning with S–Z
Thursday: No school for kindergarten students
Thursday, 5:00–7:00 p.m.: Kindergarten Open House
Parents and guardians may bring their child to learn who their teacher will be, meet the teacher, and visit the classroom.
Friday: All kindergarten students begin attending school on the regular daily schedule.

Important reminder: Kindergarten students should attend only on their assigned staggered-entry day Monday through Wednesday. We look forward to a wonderful first week! 💚🤍

We are excited to welcome our Dolphin families back to Leaksville-Spray Elementary! 💚🤍

📅 Thursday, August 20
⏰ 3:00–7:00 PM

🏫 ALL Grades May Attend

Students and families are invited to:

Find out your child’s teacher
Visit the classroom and meet the teacher
Drop off school supplies
Get bus information and transportation assistance if needed
Ask questions and get ready for a great school year!

💚 Functional Skills – Ms. Hairston’s Class

Students in Ms. Hairston’s Functional Skills class are invited to visit at 10:00 AM Thursday morning. If the morning time is not convenient, families are also welcome to attend during our regular Open House hours from 3:00–7:00 PM.

🍎 Kindergarten Families

Kindergarten parents are welcome to attend Open House this Thursday if you would like to visit the kindergarten classroom area and meet our kindergarten teachers. However, kindergarten students will not receive their assigned teacher until Thursday, August 27.

Kindergarten Staggered Entry Reminder:
Kindergarten students will rotate during the first week of school on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. You should have received your child’s assigned day when you registered.

🚨 No kindergarten students will attend school on Thursday, August 27.

That evening, we will host a special Kindergarten Open House just for our kindergarten students and families. Students will find out who their teacher is and visit their assigned classroom.

If you have questions about the upcoming school year, please stop by Open House this Thursday. Our staff will be happy to help!
