Our last Young Flyer camp of the year is a wrap!

These enthusiastic kids got to enjoy four days of aviation immersion. ✈️

Everything from ground school, tours, simulator, and FLYING!

We at Thunderbird Aviation, Inc. love getting youth involved, including partnering with local high schools.

Remember our post about Flight School Tycoon? 🤪

Our beloved N2240G with a fresh top end overhaul is done with its proper 25 hour break-in and is ready to go back on the flight line.

This is a testament to our fantastic maintenance staff that keep these hard working aircraft going for our students and renters. Great job maintenance team! 💪🏼

Also, thanks to our instructor volunteers to build up the hours following factory spec procedures!

Congratulations to Academy College student Vallarie M. for her first huge milestone towards her career in aviation ✈️

Vallarie is part of our Collegiate Aviation program that gets you a degree in aviation along with all of your certificates and ratings through a structured process. 👩‍🎓

He even brought the airplane back in the same condition he left with. 🤣

Vincent took just 17.8 hours to get to this point thanks to excellent effort and instruction.

Quite the comical duo, Vincent is our tallest flight student, and his instructor Bee is the shortest instructor...

Things don't always go smoothly at Flight School Tycoon.

But our fantastic maintenance team has your back!

Sometimes it's hard to see how the sausage is made, but the result is delicious.

Here we see that our maintenance team had discovered an engine that was hurting. We do run them hard in flight training!

This is what's called a "top end overhaul" where they are replacing all four cylinders on an O-320 engine that the Piper Warrior uses. We'll do 25 hours of break-in, and she will be back on the line in a few weeks!

That's a tribute to what our maintenance team is capable of. Come to Thunderbird Aviation, Inc. to get the best piston aircraft maintenance around!

Alex is tasked with conducting End of Course Check Rides for our Part 141 students, as well as currency flights for our Flight Instructors, and making updates and improvements to our flight training program.
