We've got some fun events coming up this weekend, starting with a sensory friendly showing of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, at the Emagine Theater in Eagan, MN.

What does Sensory Friendly mean?
First, it means brighter house lights and lower volume.
*Note: there are no modifications made to the film
Second, audience interaction (movement, speaking, singing) and electronic device (phone, tablet, etc.) usage are allowed.
Third, guests are welcome to bring a safe snack for any food allergies or food avoidance/restrictions.

Hope to see you there! To find events like this one and more, don't forget to check out the events calendar on the Autism Portal Website.

Early intervention is a system of coordinated services that promotes the child’s growth and development and supports families during the critical early years. Early intervention services for eligible children ages birth to 3 and their families are federally mandated through the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

The Individualized Family Service Plan — the “IFSP” — is the heart of early intervention. A written plan, called an IFSP, is developed by a team to record the family’s outcomes for themselves and their child. It lists the early intervention services that will best help reach those outcomes and describes when, where, and how those services will be delivered. It will be a map to guide you and the professionals working with you.

To learn more about the IFSP, visit PACER.org/ec/early-intervention/ifsp.asp
