US History students, as part of their Revolutionary Women's Unit, explore images taken by UNICEF of the lives of women worldwide. While participating in this gallery walk, they reflected on what we learn about the struggles and strengths of women around the globe.

Social Studies students begin this year's Government Oppression unit by reading A Place Where Sunflowers Grow, a story about a young girl's experience in an Japanese American internment camp. Like the main character in the story, Gateway students created paintings of what brings them joy during difficult times.

Civics & Government Students participated in Gummy Bear Governments and used the confections to created little scenes to represent different types of governments from around the world

Economics students took on the roles of different community members (laborers, business owners, city mayor, etc.) to role play how the closing of a major factory in their area would impact each of them and their community.

Students in Lange's Economics course collaborated to show their learning on finding changes in the Consumer Price Index for different years.

US History Students worked in pairs to study the Declaration of Independence. Together, they had to look at each statement and determine which section of the Declaration it would go in.
