Rethinking Grammar: Exploring the Role of Grammar in Writing to Learn Pedagogy

🗓 4:30–5:45 p.m. CST
📍 1415 Centennial Hall

What does it really mean to teach with writing, not just teach writing? This talk will explore the difference, highlight process-based approaches to student learning, and take a closer look at the role grammar actually plays in students’ work.

We’ll also talk about how AI is changing writing instruction, and why that makes it even more important to rethink how we approach grammar in the classroom.

If you’re interested in teaching, learning, or the future of writing in education, this speaker session is for you!
