Hi Everyone! I'm missing toddlers and their parents and wanted to give you all a quick life update. I'm now a grandma and my own baby just turned 11! After 4 wonderful years of teaching at Lily Pad Lab, I took a break for a few years and have now been doing volunteer work for a bit. I'm excited to try a one-time parent/toddler class on July 11 at The Lakely downtown in their outdoor space. I invite you to check it out!

Friends! I continue to field questions and interest in Parent/Child Classes, Birthday Parties, and Homeschool Science Labs. If you know anyone who may have interest in continuing these services in our community please contact me. I would love to help someone get started in filling these needs.

Friends! I’m excited to share that I have accepted a full time teaching position at Anthony Acres School for the 2021/2022 school year. Lily Pad Lab has brought me so much joy and taught me so much! I’ve loved the journey so much! Now, I’m ready for a new adventure! I will miss my little classroom, the freedoms of owning my own business, and MOST OF ALL seeing all of you and watching SO many families in the Chippewa Valley grow! Your families....your littles ones....will ALWAYS! ALWAYS! have a very special place in my heart!

During Tiny Engineers - at Home we will engage your child’s curiosity through hands-on, at-home activities completed on your own time as well as meeting once a week for a LIVE, action-packed Circle Time with songs and games each Thursday evening or Friday morning.

Tiny Engineers - at Home includes:

Video instructions for all at-home activities

Live Zoom Circle Time each week

Vanessa and I have been slowly cleaning out the lab this past month, moving things home or passing toys on. I haven’t taught a class at the lab since March. Today I moved the last of my things home. I asked 2 toddlers to join me as I packed up because that felt natural to me. I watched them play and putter around, but it wasn’t until they got on their tummies and colored together that the emotions surfaced. My friend encouraged me to feel it- the sadness, the letting go of this season and the tears came. It was healing and powerful.
I am a teacher and my toddlers teach me. It is a beautiful circle of learning. I’m grateful for all the parents and children who trusted me and joined me on my journey. We grew together. I’m very grateful to Vanessa, for believing in me and inviting me to join her amazing Lily Pad Lab. I am so fortunate to have found her and to be her friend. We laughed a lot, cleaned up a lot, and learned a lot! I am confident she’ll find the next thing, as she is bright and willing to take chances. This chapter is closed. It’s how mothering goes. Lots of page turns and chapters end. But there is hope and always a new chapter ahead. I pray for all the Lpl families. Remember to sing often, take walks outside, question together, look each other in the eyes and lastly, make messes whenever possible!

My last day teaching in this fun classroom! My favorite thing.....students and parents who quickly became friends and now feel like family! I have loved serving our community out of this space!
