Join us to support E-S Spanish Club and History Club students traveling to Spain and Portugal!

This fun run/walk is for everyone-all fitness levels, all ages, runners and walkers alike, from all communities.

🏃 Two route options:
• 1-mile route for walkers only
• 5K route for runners or walkers

❤️ We can’t wait to see you in stride!

Although this post comes a bit later than planned, we still wanted to take a moment to recognize and celebrate this meaningful work.

🍁In October, Eleva-Strum Central students from the Spanish Club and the Multilingual Learner (ML) Program collaborated to create an ofrenda displayed in the school commons as part of a cultural learning experience connected to Día de los Mu***os. This widely recognized cultural tradition, observed in early November, is recognized in Spanish-speaking communities around the world—including within the United States—as a way to deepen understanding of cultural heritage and traditions.

The display provided an opportunity for students across the school to engage with and contribute to a shared learning experience. Spanish teacher Mrs. Young and EL teacher Miss Hernandez plan to continue partnering with students throughout the school year to develop additional culturally relevant, student-created displays that support global awareness and cultural understanding.

🧳Recently the Eleva-Strum Spanish Club partnered with the Eleva Police Department to do a luggage drive.

They gathered gently used suitcases and duffle bags that were then donated to Trempealeau County Health and Human Services to be used for children in the foster care system. The mission is for no child to ever have to carry their belongings in a garbage bag when relocating.

Thanks to those who helped support this cause - Spanish Club and Eleva Police Department hopes to make this an annual event. Please keep this in mind if you have such items for next year.
