This 5 credit course adheres to state and national standards. Students will gain knowledge and skills in the following areas in anatomy and physiology, patient assessment, fractures and dislocations, spinal injuries, soft-tissue wounds, and ambulance operations. Upon successful completion, students are eligible to complete certification requirements for the National Registry of Emergency Medical T
echnicians (NREMT). CVTC offers a FireMedic program that allows you to receive training in fire rescue and EMS training. This is a challenging program but comes with a great sense of accomplishment once completed. This accomplishment continues throughout your career, as you help people on a daily basis. Students that succeed in this program have a strong sense of self-discipline and a desire to help people.
