The start of the school year is almost here, and we’re excited to see you! 🎉

On Thursday, August 27, the Lakeshore staff will be traveling through our neighborhoods for a Back-to-School Parade.

We hope to see many of our students and families along the route as we kick off another great year together!

We plan on leaving Lakeshore at 1:30PM on Thursday, August 27 and will be following this route:
1. 8th Street & Niagara Street
2. Avenue A Street & Illinois Street
3. Vienna Terrace & Lamans Lane
4. Plum Street & Mary Street
5. S. Michigan Street & 1st Reserve
6. Crestview Drive & Florence Avenue
7. 11th Street & Cameron Trail
8. Vine Street & 8th Street
9. Babcock Street & Maxon Street
10. Graham Avenue & Newton Street
11. South Farwell Street & Garfield Avenue
12. 4th Avenue & Niagara Street

Please plan on joining us along this route as we drive by. Make some signs and posters to show your Lakeshore pride and to help us to celebrate the start of an exciting new school year! See you soon, Lakeshore Waves!

Hello Lakeshore Families,

I hope you are having a wonderful summer and looking forward to the start of another amazing school year at Lakeshore! 🌊

Please mark your calendar! Welcome Back Day is right around the corner - Tuesday, September 1 - 8:00AM-4:00PM ​(closed from 1:00-2:00).

This open-house style day is designed for families to come to visit Lakeshore, meet our staff, drop off school supplies, fill out paperwork, and meet your student's teacher for the year. All students are expected to come to school with their families. As a reminder, this day is considered the first day of school, so attendance will be taken.

Tomorrow is Lakeshore Beautification Day!

Families are invited to join us at Lakeshore Elementary to help spruce up our school grounds.

Tuesday, August 18 - pick a session 9:00-11:00 or 3:00-5:00.

Families are invited to help us trim trees and bushes, clean flower beds pull w**ds and spread mulch.

Please bring any garden tools you may have to make this easy work: w**d eaters, brush trimmers, leaf blowers, rakes, shovels, and wheelbarrows. Many hands make light work!

PTO will be providing popsicles for volunteers. Bring a refillable water bottle.
