CVTC will be closed, and employees will be off Monday, June 29, through Friday, July 3, for summer break. The College will reopen on Monday, July 6.

Communication is at the heart of great health care.

Recently, CVTC Nursing students partnered with English Language Learning (ELL) students for a mock clinical intake experience that provided valuable learning opportunities for both groups.

Nursing students practiced communicating with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds, while ELL students gained confidence navigating health care conversations in a supportive environment.

The experience helped students develop skills that extend far beyond the classroom, including cultural awareness, trust-building, active listening, adaptability and patient-centered care.

"It was clear that students on both sides were learning from each other in real time," said Katelyn, a Nursing instructor.

This is a BIG DEAL! CVTC has been named one of just 10 finalists nationwide for the 2027 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, the nation’s premier recognition for community colleges.

The Aspen Prize honors colleges that help students achieve meaningful outcomes from earning credentials and degrees to securing careers that provide family-sustaining wages. Being selected as a finalist reflects the dedication of our students, employees, industry partners and communities across the Chippewa Valley.

We're proud to be recognized for helping learners build brighter futures while strengthening the workforce our region depends on.

In observance of Memorial Day, our offices will be closed on Monday, May 25th. We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, May 26th. As we remember and honor those who have bravely served our country, we wish everyone a safe and reflective holiday.

Last Thursday, we had the privilege of hosting our annual Scholarship Reception — a special evening celebrating the impact of education, generosity, and community. Most importantly, the event brought together students who received scholarships throughout the year with the donors and supporters who helped make their educational journeys possible. Thank you to everyone who continues to invest in the success and future of our students.
