Healthcare Workforce Training Institute We are increasing and advancing the healthcare workforce in Wisconsin.

Nurse educators instruct CNA, medication aide, CBRF, first aid, CPR, and dementia classes year-round in many communities throughout Wisconsin. Our nurse educators and trained instructors teach the following classes year-round in multiple communities, including Bloomer, Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire, Osseo, and Rice Lake:

-Nurse Aide Training Program / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Class
-Medicat

-Classes for caregivers employed by assisted living residences (CBRF): -Fire Safety, First Aid/Choking, Medication Administration, and Standard Precaution
-First Aid and CPR Classes

We recently held a CARE U training session for several Dove Healthcare employees that provide direct care for older adults. Originally started by the Center for Aging Research and Education at the University of Wisconsin School of Nursing, the training covered topics of person-centered care, emergency preparedness and dementia. A big THANK YOU to the Health Resources and Services Administration, Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program (award U1Q53041) for providing funding to make this possible!
