What Is Pi Day? by Ten Minute Math Today we are going to replay a popular episode that we recorded last year explaining Pi Day. Here is a replay of Episode 79 titled What is Pi Day?
Do you know how to support your own preschool child in developing number sense? Here are 3 BIG ideas!
1. Ask your child how many objects they would have if they had just one or two more OR one or two less.
2. Ask your child how many different ways you could share 5 toys with them.
3. Cut off the last two compartments of an egg carton to make a ten frame and have your child practice counting by placing little cars or toys in each compartment.

Can your child see 1, 2, or 3 dots on a die and know how many dots without counting them one by one?
Help your child develop number sense by shaking one die and hopping the number of times shown on the die. Make it fun to learn math!
