Cornerstone Lutheran High School

This group is working on some new high school level curriculum for the synod. Thank you for your work! Cornerstone is even referenced in the post as one of the newest WELS High Schools!

Pen to paper ✍ and fingers to keyboards ⌨ our high school level writing team met this week for their turn at writers’ workshop to begin drafting teacher lesson plans and student materials. It’s exciting to see how God has blessed the last three years of preparation for this moment in our WELS Theology Curriculum project.

Fun facts:
WELS has over 7,500 high school students enrolled in 32 high schools. 🏫
Our oldest high school has been teaching teens since 1903 (that’s 123 years), while one of our newest high schools just celebrated its 2nd graduating class 🎓.
Our high school writing team has over 250 years of combined ministry experience! ✝

Ladies near and far! Our first ever area retreat is being held at our high school! What a blessing to be able to use our building to help more than our teens grow in their faith!

Late to post, but only because we were still catching our breath from such an awesome season! ⚽️💨 We’re missing a few players in this pic — our teens are great multitaskers juggling school, AP classes, jobs, clubs, and everything in between. Getting the whole squad in one place is harder than scoring a bicycle kick.

Huge shoutout to our Guardian dad who stepped up and took the coaching reins this season. You kept our team dribbling, hustling, laughing, and growing every game. 🙌

Guardians — you showed grit, built skills, pushed through challenges, and used the talents God gave you. You played with heart, and it showed on the field.

Vacation Bible School Student Registration is Open

This summer, children will take a 4-day journey through the tropics. Children ages 3 (potty trained or with an adult) up to rising 4th graders are invited to participate. We will have Bible study, games, interactive activities, music, and lots of fun in store for your child(ren). Enjoy the tropical theme with friends, make new friends, and even get some delicious snacks. The cost is free for your child! 🇺🇸 This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice reminds us that freedom is never free.

Today, until noon, our flags fly at half-staff in gratitude and remembrance as we reflect on the courage, service, and selflessness of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

We doubled our graduating class this year — from one graduate last year to two this year — and our hearts are overflowing with gratitude. Watching these teens grow into young adults over four short years is a privilege that never gets easier to say goodbye to.

God has blessed these two with unique gifts, abilities, and a spirit that shines brightly. We’ve seen them use their talents to their fullest, and we couldn’t be more proud.
