We would like to congratulate to Robert Thomas on earning 1st place at Georgia 4-H State Congress in the Fruits, Vegetables, and Nuts Project Achievement Area this past week!

Over the past year, Robert has dedicated countless hours to learning about Georgia agriculture. His award-winning presentation explored how Georgia peanuts make an impact far beyond our state, by strengthening Georgia's economy while helping fight global hunger through food assistance around the world.

State Congress was also a time to celebrate several major milestones in Robert's 4-H journey. In addition to his project achievement success, he was recognized as a Master 4-H'er and honored as a National 4-H Conference Delegate, representing Georgia 4-H on the national stage. The event also marked the conclusion of his outstanding term as Georgia 4-H State Board President. Throughout the past year, he has represented Georgia 4-H with professionalism, leadership, and a genuine commitment to serving others.

A special thank you to Carter Hewitt, our Putnam County AmeriCorps Member, for serving as Robert's chaperone during State Congress. We appreciate your support of our youth and your willingness to help make opportunities like this possible.

Congratulations again, Robert! Your Putnam County 4-H family is proud of you! πŸ’šπŸ€
