Edison State’s volleyball team will kick off the 2026-27 athletics seasons this weekend! The Lady Chargers return to the court with one sophomore and eight freshmen, traveling for an opening weekend tournament on Friday, August 21, and Saturday, August 22. Their regular season begins Wednesday, August 26, at home, when they face Miami University–Hamilton.

This fall, our Nursing program will host a site visit for initial accreditation of the RN to BSN completion program and continuing accreditation of the associate degree nursing program by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing.

In preparation for the site visit, the program invites Edison State students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members to meet with the site visit team to share comments about the program at an in-person meeting on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at the Piqua Campus.

Written comments are also welcome and should be submitted to the ACEN by September 29, 2026.

We’re excited to share that the Ohio Association of Agricultural Educators—OAAE has named Edison State’s Agriculture program the state’s Outstanding Postsecondary Agricultural Program for 2026. Additionally, the National Association of Agricultural Educators recently announced its 2026 award winners, with Edison State’s Agriculture program named the Region IV Outstanding Postsecondary Agriculture Program.

These awards recognize the program’s excellence in agricultural education and commitment to student success.

The Edison State EV Cart Racing Club—which brings students together to design, build, and race electric-powered carts—is one example of our commitment to offering real-world experience to help students grow and learn the skills needed to succeed.

The club recently hosted its fourth annual electric cart race at the Piqua Campus, during which they competed with Graham Local Schools. Carts raced were limited to 48-volt motors and 2,500-Ahr battery systems, but everything else about them was open to design and creativity.

We’re currently accepting nominations for our Alumni Achievement Awards! Established in 2025, the awards recognize and celebrate outstanding alumni and supporters of Edison State who have made significant contributions to both the College and broader community, and they feature two main categories of recognition that reflect the diverse contributions of nominees: the Distinguished Alumni Award and the Athletic Hall of Fame.

Nominations must be submitted by October 1, 2026, for consideration in the current review cycle. Nominees will be notified by December 1, 2026. Learn more ⤵️
