Hello! My Name is David Alvarez and I am returning to Eaton after a year of teaching at Greeley West High School. This will actually be my 6th year of teaching here at EMS and my 11th year of teaching overall. Many people have asked why I came back to the Eaton School District and the simple answer is FAMILY. Eaton is my home and its people are my people. As a student, I walked the same hallways I now get to teach in and played on the same fields I now get to coach on. I was raised here and now I get to raise my children here. That for me is very special!
Outside of the classroom I love hunting, fishing, and camping. I love exploring and hitting up a sweet museum or a national park. I love going places I have never been before and I am always down for the next adventure. Most importantly, I love spending time with my family. Together we get the privilege of chasing down God's call and living out His plan for our lives.
This year at Eaton Middle School I am looking forward to building relationships with students, being with my colleagues, and continuing to grow so that I can become the best teacher that I can be. I was fortunate during my time as a student in Eaton to have many great teachers. I still want to be just like them one day. My passion for this community runs deep and I am forever an Eaton Fightin' Red!
