We have a blood drive coming up on Monday December 16th in the Aux Gym. There are many appointments available and we would love it if any of you would be willing to donate. You must be at least 16 and you must have a parent's signature to donate, there is a permission slip in the office. All donors must have some form of ID with them. On Tuesday, December 17, 2024 10th grade students have the opportunity to visit the Eaton Career Preparation Center to learn more about the full year courses available for the 2025-2026 school year. Students will be transported by school bus to Lansing Community College West Campus for this visit. The visit will take place from 11:45- 1:20p.m. The bus will leave Eaton Rapids High School at 11:00 a.m. and return to the high school at approximately 1:50 p.m. Students will eat lunch prior to leaving.

In order to attend, students need to turn in this permission slip and complete the online registration prior to November 13th to sign up for the visitation. The link to register is https://tinyurl.com/bdcw4a5v

Visiting the program does not guarantee a spot for the student. It does provide an advantage for enrolling before those students who did not visit. Students will be required to complete an online enrollment application if they wish to sign up for the course after visiting. They will also have to have approval to attend from the Career Development Coordinator, teachers and administration after their attendance, discipline, grades and earned credits are checked. Please understand that Career Preparation Center courses are a big commitment for students. It is essential that students with any interest at all participate at each step of the application process. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mrs. Mills at 616-528-4088.

On December 3, 2024 ninth grade students have the opportunity to attend the MiCareerQuest field trip at the Lansing Center. MiCareerQuest is a hands-on, career exploration event for students to better understand career opportunities in the greater Lansing area. Students that attend this field trip will have the opportunity to talk with experts from the region’s high-demand industries; work with the tools and technology of the trades; experience different careers in multiple industries; and gain practical knowledge of today’s workplace.
Businesses from the following career pathways
will be represented at the event:
Engineering, Manufacturing & Industrial Technology
Business, Information Technology, Arts & Communication
Health & Human Services
Natural Science & Agriscience
