Our TK scientists in Ms. Goodson’s class explored an owl pellet and matched the bones they discovered to pictures on a worksheet to learn about what the owl had eaten! This hands-on investigation supports California’s Preschool/TK Science Foundations 1.1—Making Observations and 1.2—Comparing and Contrasting, as children examined details and compared bone shapes and sizes. Students were excited and engaged with the activity as we matched bone pieces to their visual.
