On behalf of the men and women of the Jurupa Valley Station, we express our deepest sympathies to the people of Uvalde, Texas. This assault on the most innocent group of our community is deeply disturbing and heartbreaking.
No specific threats have been received to any schools or other locations in the JVS area of responsibility. Today you will see an increased presence of Deputies at and around our schools county wide. The safety of our children is our top priority and we are committed to ensuring a safe learning environment for all students.
We have full confidence in our well-trained Deputies, who are prepared to address any school security issues should they arise.
Our thoughts are with the families, school staff, first responders and community of Uvalde.
