As many islanders are now aware, Ella Weaver and her boyfriend David Klein lost their lives on May 1st, when a car crossed the median and struck the car they were driving, near Chelan, WA.
Ella was a beloved member of our extended Salmonberry family. She was a student here for seven years, and her family have been one of the many deep roots that have loved and sustained this school. The Weaver family’s friends have launched a GoFundMe campaign (linkable in our Bio. and Stories) to provide some support to the family during this tragic time. Salmonberry School has made a donation to this fund, and if you are able, we are requesting that you please consider donating to this campaign as well.
Ella’s radiant presence, her friendship, her devotion to her school will always be part of the fabric of this community. We offer our deepest condolences to Lauren, Sky, Lucia, and Anita.
