Rainbow Club: Our club for LGBTQIA+ teens and allies has changed times and days. We are now meeting every Friday from 3:30-5pm upstairs at the Funhouse. Our Rec & Tech room is also open for middle schoolers during that time. Rainbow club is a casual social space where middle schoolers can hang out, eat, craft, connect with each other and be themselves.

We are excited to embark on our third year of Kids' Chorus at the Funhouse! For kids in grades 1-5, this group meets every Thursday from 3:30-4:30 starting on 9/17. Big thanks to the Music Advocacy Group Of Orcas Island for helping to fund this awesome program. Led by Mary Wachter, the Kids' Chorus is a great opportunity for kids who like to sing and want to sing in a group. There are various opportunities to perform, including at Tree Lighting and Orcas Center events. We even have been known to do pop up performances at Island Market!

As always, scholarships are provided by the Funhouse. Miss Mary meets the kids at the public school every Thursday at 3:15 and walks them to Kids' Chorus.

This fall, a new offering for kids in grades 4-8 is happening at the Funhouse on Fridays! Club Create is a continuation of our awesome Camp Create that offers 4th-8th graders a hodgepodge of fun experiences and a place to belong. Club Create thrives because each kid has a unique approach to every activity. We make art of all sorts, explore different craft projects, cook & bake, drum, share stories, outdoor excursions & activities, games, laughs, and more!

Starting 9/18 on Fridays from 4:00-5:30pm with Mary Wachter.

Hey Funhouse Families :-)

This Friday we are celebrating the end of Summer by holding a PARTY! We have really had a blast this summer with Funhouse Day Camp, Camp Create, Fishing Fridays, Musical Heroes, Rec and Tech Room, Quilting, Techno Minis, and Teen Activities. In appreciation to all our Funhouse Family, we will finish it with even more fun, and snow cones to boot!

See you there - 1-3pm on the Funhouse Sport Court this Friday! 🍕🥳

¡Este viernes celebramos el fin del verano con una fiesta! Nos lo hemos pasado genial este verano con el campamento diurno Funhouse, Camp Create, los viernes de pesca, Musical Heroes, la sala de recreación y tecnología, acolchado (quilting), Techno Minis y actividades para adolescentes. Como agradecimiento a toda nuestra familia Funhouse, cerraremos la temporada con aún más diversión... ¡y granizados para rematar!

We are taking our bus to the San Juan County Fair on August 14th. This trip is available to all 12-15 year old students.

THE ONLY WAY TO RESERVE SPACE ON THIS BUS IS TO FILL OUT THIS FORM: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScxLu9mOMOv9ursK1HAqWVFJ-hB1LHyl0K3crzN2OYFvyLcUA/viewform

AND the TRANSPORTATION WAIVER (linked in the registration form), and you will receive a confirmation email from Maddie. This trip will be first come first serve, with priority given to kids who have already signed up for Fishing Fridays. There are 14 available seats for this trip, so register ASAP to confirm your spot!

The Funhouse will pay for each student's admission ticket, but please bring money for games, food and rides. We recommend sending at least $20 if your student plans to eat at the fair and go on rides. Please also bring sunscreen, a water bottle, snacks and layers.

Come to the Funhouse during Teen Night on Friday the 21st @ 6pm to show off your moves in our first ever STEP MANIAX (otherwise known as Dance Dance Revolution) TOURNAMENT! This event is open to all incoming middle and high schoolers. Prizes will be given to the person with the highest score, the lowest score, and the best moves.
