Praeger, wrote a proposal for the Creating Healthy Communities Grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Health. The proposal requested $2,200 to restore the school's greenhouse. The grant was awarded and starting in March 2011 students have been working in the greenhouse and growing a variety of healthy foods.
