Lafayette Music Appreciation Floor (MAFia)

Exiting news!! MAFia's first ever reunion for our 15th (well, technically 16th) anniversary is officially happening on October 26, 2024, at 7pm in Kirby Sports Center room 348.

This is the same weekend as homecoming and is right after the football game, so hopefully many of you will already be on campus. We will feature a screening of some classic videos from past Lip Sync events, and catering is being graciously provided by Lafayette's dining team. There will also be an opportunity for all alumni to visit the floor! If you are able to attend, please fill out the form below. Hope to see you all there!

MAFia Reunion 2024 MAFia Reunion 2024 is taking place on October 26, 2024, at 7pm in Allen P. Kirby Sports Center Room 348. Dinner will be provided.

This upcoming semester will mark the 15th anniversary of the Music Appreciation Floor!!! MAFia was founded as special interest housing on the 3rd floor of Ramer in 2009, and we have stayed there, hosting fun events and appreciating music ever since. To celebrate this special year, we have been workshopping new events for the fall, so stay tuned for event announcements soon! In the meantime, we are proud to announce the MAFia Alumni Family (is awesome), our soon to be network of alumni! We have a variety of singles and big doubles available at our 3rd floor Ramer Hall location, and residents won't need to go through the housing lottery. MAFia Lipsyncs The LipSync is April 12th at 8:30pm. All performances are asked to bring their $5 performance fee to the event (or deliver it to a current MAFian in advance), to be donated to the VH1 Save the Music Foundation.

Calling all artistically-inclined MAFians!
Our "Spot event," which will be further discussed at Tuesday night's meeting, needs a tee-shirt design! The current theme is "Music Through the Decades" and we are looking for submissions for the design that will appear on the fabulous tee-shirts that will be given out at the event. Designs can be submitted to [email protected] and will need to be finalized before Spring Break. Get Designing!
