Talbot County, Maryland 4-H Youth Development Talbot County 4-H Youth Development is open to all youth aged 5-18 as of January 1. Welcome!

4-H teaches youth through hands-on experiential learning activities that encourage children and teens to experiment, innovate, and think independently. Youth use their HEADS to learn and develop life skills, their HEARTS to support and encourage others in their 4-H clubs, their HANDS to carry out a wide variety of community service projects, and their HEALTH to improve the quality of life for them

selves and others. Through participation in the program, youth learn project-related knowledge and develop skills for success in life. National studies have documented that 4-H members often do better in school, are more motivated to help others, have confidence to try new things, develop self-esteem, and create lasting friendships. 4-H can be a fun, educational experience for your entire family. Attention, friends of Talbot 4-H: The Talbot Agriculture and Educations Center will hold a pulled pork fundraiser THIS Friday, May 22, at lunch time..Proceeds will benefit the Ag Center/County Fair.

What’s on the Menu?
Enjoy a delicious pulled pork sandwich (Eric Frase's award-winning recipe), chips, dessert, and water for just $10!
Need more pulled pork? Pints (approximately a pound) are available for $8.

Hello,

The 2026 Maryland 4-H Foundation's $4 for 4-H Giving Campaign's official date is tomorrow, April 28. Each year, the Foundation holds this event to raise educational program funds that benefit 4-H members at the county and state levels. The Foundation supports 4-H members in many ways including funding leadership trip opportunities and scholarships. Half of this year's donated funds will come to Talbot County 4-H for use in our educational programs.

See the information below for details. Please consider donating $4, $40, or any other amount using the link or by sending a check. If I remember correctly, last year Talbot donors contributed a total of more than $1,000. Thank you.

Talbot Agriculture and Education Center Annual Dinner Meeting
Monday, January 26 from 5:30–8:00 p.m., 10659 Hiners Lane, Easton

We love the Ag Center because it provides a wonderful location to hold 4-H meetings and events including the Talbot County Fair and the Harvest Fair.

Every year, the Ag Center holds an annual dinner meeting to update us on 2025 activities and facility needs for 2026. Please join us! The adult dinner price is $20, and the youth (primarily 4-H and FFA youth) price is $12. Please register using the Zeffy link below.

The Ag Center does not have a guaranteed income stream. It covers expenses through facility rentals, fundraisers, and donations. Expenses such as insurance are increasing every year. In order to pay the bills and keep the Ag Center running, there is a need to hold fundraisers. A portion of the dinner price will go toward expenses.

There will also be a 50/50 raffle and a quilt raffle. Tickets are $5 at the registration link above. Do you love the Ag Center and just want to provide financial support? You may also make a donation of any amount at the registration link.

The Ag Center is trying a new fundraiser this year, a parking spot auction! Three front-row parking spaces will be auctioned off for all 2026 events. Spaces will go to the highest bidders, and a sign will be installed at each spot with the winner’s name to highlight the winner’s financial support. Parking spot bids can be placed by emailing [email protected].
