While on our tour of Delta TechOps, our group ran into a few of our schools proud alumni. Middle Georgia State University Alumni Association needs to create a Delta Airlines Chapter so our many pilot and mechanic alumni can network at this awesome company.

Delta TechOps once again gets a big shout out and THANK YOU for hosting the Fall 2026 graduating cohort from Middle Georgia State University, Eastman Aviation Campus. The students were able to see many different aspects of aviation maintenance and ask the mechanic’s questions. The students learned what it takes to be a member of the Delta family and to have a successful career in aviation maintenance.

Robins Air Force Base is looking for hundreds of workers to help maintain some of the Air Force’s aircraft. Openings range from entry-level jobs to skilled positions in aircraft mechanics, electronics, machining and more.

A federal grant will expand MGA's aviation programs, funding new equipment and a fuel fund to make flight training more affordable for students.

A big shout out and Thank You to Col. Mark Tillman, USAF, Retired for his quick visit to our campus and speaking to the students of Middle Georgia State University, Eastman Aviation Campus. Col. Tillman was the pilot of Air Force One during the George W. Bush presidency. He was the pilot for the president on 9/11 and also flew the President into Iraq for a surprise visit. Col. Tillman gave brief remarks about his career as a pilot and answered questions from the students and faculty.
