4-H Contests at Georgia National Fair UPDATE: Because I have had a couple of kids sign up already, I wanted to give a quick update: There are a couple of LIMITED contests, meaning I can only register a certain number of kids for those particular contests from Dodge County (as these spaces fill, I will update this post).

🧁Cupcake Masters: I have ONE spaces remaining

🍀Mini Booth: I have ONE spaces remaining

🌻Dish Garden: I have SEVEN spaces remaining

REMEMBER: A parent/guardian/adult MUST physically come to the 4-H office to sign a child up for contests at Georgia National Fair.

PLEASE CALL (478) 374-8137 to schedule a time to come in and register as I am in and out of the office a good bit the next few weeks!

‼️Quick update‼️

I listened and Dodge County 4-H is going to give Front Door Produce a shot!

A couple of things to note:

🍅 - the sales period will run from September 14th to November 2nd with delivery taking place the week of November 16th.

🌽- the team at Front Door Produce is now working on getting the website set up. I will be share the specific link for our fundraiser once it is made available.

🫑 - In the meantime, check out the Front Door Produce main website - REMEMBER: I will share the link to order as soon as it becomes available!

I have been about to "BUST" to share our precious Hank, and now that he has been introduced to our Southeast District Extension family, I'm sharing too! Congratulations Tucker, Lane and family, he is absolutely perfect (and so is his intro from our UGA Extension district office ❤️).

Good Afternoon Southeast District!!!

My name is Wesley “Hank” Fiveash and my arrival has made my parents very happy! You might know my mom, Tucker Fiveash, the Dodge County Extension/4-H Administrative Assistant. My birth made her a little tired, but she and my dad are doing great!! I arrived on April 27, 2026, at 6:47pm, eastern time and weighed in at 8 lbs, 11ozs, 20.25 inches long.

As many of you are well aware, areas in our southeast district have been severely affected by wildfires. While several fires have been contained, the fire in the Brantley County area continues to burn. At last report, the fire encompasses approximately 4,000 acres and has destroyed 40 homes.

During times of need in our district, our Extension family comes together to assist those who have been impacted. If you feel led to donate, below is a list of supplies that are needed immediately in Brantley County.

I can deliver items tomorrow, April 23, while attending a 4‑H district wide 4-H meeting if you can get items to me at the 4-H office (230 Foster St) this afternoon by 4 PM.
