Important Reminders for the Beginning of the 2026-2027 School Year at Siebert Elementary:

🔴 Doors open at 7:15 AM - If you arrive before 7:15 AM, remain in line with your student. At 7:15 AM, staff will be there to guide students to the cafeteria. Doors will not be opened prior to 7:15 AM.

🔴 Drop-offs and Walking Students to Class - Parents are allowed to walk their student to class starting at 7:30 for the 1st day only. After the first day, parents/guardians will drop off their students and we will have personnel to get them to where they need to be.

🔴 Lunches - We are asking that parents/guardians do not come to eat with their students until September 1st. This will allow us to get the students into a routine and learn procedures without distractions.

🔴 Pick-Up - Pre-K and Kindergarten students will not be allowed to go with the walking group for safety reasons. Parents/Guardians will need to pick their PreK and Kindergarten students up in the pick up line. Please stay in your car and go through the line to pick up your student. As a reminder, when picking up a student you should be aware of your surroundings. Using a cell phone while driving through a school zone is illegal.

🔴 Changes in Transportation - Any changes to transportation home will need to be notified to the office by 2:30 PM the day of via email, note or phone call. You will not be able to pull your student out of the bus line the day of without proper notification to the office.

The first day of school is next Wednesday (8/12)! Please take a look at this map and the following directions to ensure traffic flows smoothly for everyone!

🔔 Doors open at 7:15 AM! Staff will open the doors at 7:15 AM and guide students to the cafeteria. Entry will not be permitted before staff open the doors. If you arrive early, please remain in your vehicle with your child until the doors open. 🔔

🟡 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade parents: Please follow the yellow pick-up route on the West side of the building by traveling south on Madera St. and turning right on Hill St. 🟡

🔴 PreK, K, & 1st grade parents: Please follow the red pick-up route on the East side of the building starting from Sadosa. 🔴

‼️Students in 2nd-5th THAT HAVE A SIBLING in PreK, Kinder, or 1st grade will go with them to the East side of the building to be picked up‼️

🚶If a 1st-5th grade student is going to be a walker or walk to the old nursing home/tree, then parents need to send a signed note to the teacher stating that their student will be a walker. 🚶

🚷 Pre-K and Kindergarten students may not walk, even if they have siblings who walk. Pre-K and Kindergarten students must be picked up from the vehicle line. 🚷

🏷️ Please have your student pick-up name card visible for the staff calling names. Starting Monday, August 17th, if you forget your student pick-up tag or have misplaced it, parents will need to park in the front and go to the front office to get another tag. I.D. proof will need to be presented to get another student pick-up card for safety reasons. 🏷️

Don't forget about the Back to School Bash on August 1st from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the 100-200 block of Lamar and Commerce Streets!

Entry fee is a canned food donation to the Eastland Food Pantry. Come out for games, inflatables, food vendors, music, giveaways, school supplies, hair cuts, and Maverick gear!
