From Justine Menn:
Friends and classmates in the Willoughby-Eastlake School district, there is a levy on the ballot for a new tax increase. I know that no one likes taxes but this is a big one. I ask that you please get out and *hopefully* vote yes. There are many groups, programs, and sports cuts that will be made. The list includes ALL middle school sports and freshman sports, all non-athletic extracurricular clubs (drama, band, National Honor Society, choir), and will eliminate all bussing within two miles of the school. The list is long with additional cuts and I will share full information in the comments below.
I have been to two levy meetings and have truly done my due diligence to fact find on this. I ask that you support our district as we all went through public schools funded by tax dollars. While cost of living increases, funds collected by levies do not. Once a levy is passed, the income from the levy stays static forever. This causes a need for additional funds.
I thank any of you who have read through this post and welcome any questions you may have. I will answer them to the best of my ability and if I do not have an answer, I will ask the District Treasurer, the Superintendent, or whoever I need to to best answer your questions.
