Day 1 of the lectures was packed with information and demonstrations!

🔸Michiel Brouns presented Demystifying Linseed Oil Paint and led the Linseed Oil Paint Demonstration.

🔸Annabelle Radcliffe presented Scoping Natural and Historic Finishes in Preservation Projects, Techniques and Challenges.

🔸Peter Galloway presented on the Squire Benjamin Bosworth and ‘The Castle’: The Story Behind a Unique Local Treasure and led a house tour.

🔸Henry Orton and Colin Evans presented Building with Breathable Walls: Demystifying Lime Plaster and led a demonstration while showing off what the 3-Day participants accomplished.

✅ Day 1 complete!

It's the first day of Guildhall’s 3-day intensive workshop for traditional and natural finishes. Participants are spread throughout c. 1791 house in small groups. It was a full-day of hands-on workshops on interior and exterior paints, window restoration, floor restoration with tung oil, and lime plaster.
