Reminders for 3:10
2nd-6th grade Parents and Guardians, please help us keep afternoon dismissal safe and smooth for all students by following our step-by-step carpool protocol:
đź“Ť 1. Enter & Form Two Lines
Turn onto Kansas Street from 8th Street heading toward 5th Street.
Pull forward to form two parallel lines of cars.
🛑 CRITICAL STAGING RULE (See Map below): Do not pull all the way up to the 5th Street stop sign while staging. Instead, stop and form lines right before the back parking lot starts to keep the flow clear!
🅿️ 2. Park and HoldOnce your car comes to a stop in the loading zone, put it in Park.
Do not move your vehicle for any reason while students are loading. This protects students, staff, and drivers navigating the lines.
🧒 3. Student Loading
School staff will guide 2nd–6th grade students directly to their vehicles.
If possible, ensure your child enters from the side of the vehicle nearest a walkway.
đź‘‹ 4. Wait for the SignalStay parked until a school official at the front gives the explicit hand signal or visual sign to go.
Both lanes will be released in coordinated batches to maintain safe traffic flow onto 5th Street.
⏱️ Need to leave early or beat the line?
Do not enter the carpool line. Instead, park on a surrounding neighborhood street off-campus.
Use designated crosswalks to walk tocampus and retrieve your child under crossing guard directions.
Walk back to your vehicle and exit through the neighborhood, staying completely clear of the Kansas Street carpool exit.
